Afya Research Africa (ARA) is a non-profit organization committed to fostering research in human health and promoting best practices in the provision of healthcare in Africa. The aim is to have the greatest impact on health outcomes for poor and under-served communities. Since its operations in 2009, ARA exists to promote research, innovation and best practices in human health in Africa.
ARA approached EKAR in 2015 seeking to properly define her identity and effective communication attained for proper execution of their projects. 
ARA then contracted EKAR to carry out rebranding of the organization’s digital communication, media, advocacy and fundraising efforts.
Since the engagement, EKAR has successfully re-branded ARA. We have assisted the organization gain a viable digital presence. We pitched media stories that featured in major media houses like The Daily Nation, Star and People daily newspapers as well as citizen TV.
EKAR has also coined and implemented two fundraising activities in Makueni and Kilifi county. These were instrumental in raising funds for its “Ubuntu Afya” clinic operations. The strategy led them to receive a grant from UKAID to start 20 Ubuntu – Afya Clinics in Homabay.
